NTN Tests - Transit Operator Transit Operator Testing There are three components to the NTN Transit Operator Testing System: The Transit Suitability Assessment, the situational judgment video test, and the reading test. Transit Suitability Assessment Candidates access the Transit Suitability Assessment through their candidate accounts and take the exam remotely. Candidates are asked to read statements and respond with how they agree or disagree with each statement. Candidates will have one hour to complete all the questions and the test must be completed in one sitting. Questions cannot be skipped. Once the timer starts, it does not stop. Candidates need to ensure they have allotted the appropriate amount of time, undisturbed, to take the exam. Transit Video Situational Judgment Test The transit Video Situational Judgment Test is a proctored multiple-choice test that focuses on customer service, critical thinking and judgment. Candidates watch a video segment, then choose the BEST course of action in a multiple-choice format. This test is presented on computer or video and the items play without stopping. Reading Test This multiple-choice reading test is designed to measure the level of reading ability needed for success in transit operators. It is based on typical materials transit operators must read as part of the job. Candidates are required to choose a word that best fits in the blank.
