Job Overview: Deputy Sheriffs are assigned to our patrol division. The Patrol Division is responsible for responding to calls for service, citizen’s complaints, traffic enforcement, as well as, providing services to supplement the law enforcement operations of the agency. The Deputy Sheriff is under the direction and supervision of their respective Shift Supervisor and the Commander of the Patrol Division and is in a classified position as a sworn Deputy Sheriff.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Age: 21
High School Grad/GED: Yes
Valid Ohio State Driver’s License: Yes
Required Academy Certification: Yes
Necessary Certifications: Must have Ohio peace officer certification.
Residency Requirement: Reside in the State of Ohio, a resident of Union County or any adjoining county consistent with Senate Bill 82 signed into law by the Governor in January 2006.
