Position Title: Police Officer
The City of Englewood is now accepting applications for the full-time position of Police Officer, to establish an eligibility list for future vacancies.
Candidates MUST COMPLETE the Public Safety Self-Assessment (PSSA) AND the Law Enforcement – Frontline National exam for consideration.
Women, Minorities, and Lateral candidates are encouraged to apply.

Department Overview: The Englewood Police Department is a full-service police agency with an authorized strength of 22 full-time officers, including the Chief of Police and three Sergeants. While primarily assigned to road patrol duties, police officers may have the opportunity to work investigations (detective), as evidence technicians, field training officers, bike patrol, acting shift supervisors, and as a school resource officer. Additionally, the department operates its own communications center, currently serving five police departments and five fire and EMS agencies.
City/County/Area Information: Located off I-70 in northwest Montgomery County, approximately 10 miles from Dayton.
Population: 13,463 (2020 census)Salary information: $63,564 - $85,134/annually*; entry rate depending upon experience and training
*anticipated 2022 salary, may be greater contingent on finalization of successor labor contract, currently underway.
