The City of Henderson's Municipal Court is pleased to accept applications for our Municipal Court Marshal position. Candidates must submit a City of Henderson online job application and then take the National Testing Exam within thirty (30) days of submitted application.

Salary Information: $29.47 - $45.71 (Four 10-hour workdays, 40-hour work week)

The City of Henderson Municipal Court Marshal Service has an established history of over twenty (20) years providing public safety and security to visitors of the Henderson Municipal Court. The Marshal service is comprised of fifteen (15) Full-Time Marshals that perform law enforcement functions associated with the operations of the Henderson Municipal Court. Functions include the protection of individuals accessing the Court, building perimeter protection/security, courtroom security/functions and field services; and performs related duties as required.

Citizenship Required: Yes
High School Grad/GED: Yes
Valid NEVADA Driver's License: Yes, valid license from any state. Upon hire, must possess and maintain a valid Nevada or "border state" driver's license as defined by NRS 483
Ability to Read/Speak English: Yes
Prior Experience: One (1) year of experience as a Full-Time commissioned law enforcement officer, excluding Law Enforcement Academy Training time.
Necessary Certifications: Must possess a Nevada Peace Officer Standard Training (P.O.S.T.) Category II Certificate at the time of appointment, Category I Certificate is preferred
Additional Requirements: According to NAC 289.110: A person may not be appointed to perform duties of a peace officer if he or she has: been convicted of a felony in this state or of any offense which would be a felony if committed in this State; been convicted of an offense involving moral turpitude or the unlawful use, sale or possession of a controlled substance; or a documented history of physical violence
