Beaver Dam Fire & Rescue Department is seeking to establish an eligibility list for Firefighter/Paramedic! All candidates must complete the FireTEAM exam through National Testing Network as well as complete the department application, located here.
The department requires the candidate PHQ. You can access the questionnaire through your candidate account. NTN suggests completing the PHQ as soon as possible or you may not be considered further in the process.
Salary Information: $54,662.64 starting, $63,447.60 after 1 year

Area Information: City and rural areas, 100 sq. miles of fire protection, 150 sq. miles EMS. Dodge County WI
Population: 16,500 city, with rural 25,000.
US Citizen: Required
High School Grad/GED: Required
Valid WISCONSIN State Driver's License: Required, or ability to acquire
Ability to Read/Speak English: Required
College: Not required, but preferred
Necessary Certifications: Wisconsin Firefighter 1, Wisconsin will take IFSAC out of state certifications for out of state reciprosity.
Wisconsin Paramedic at time of hire. Wisconsin is a National Registry State for out of state reciprocity.
Hiring Process: Application, National Testing Network written exam, oral interview , Chief’s interview, medical exam, physical exam, background check.
Job Information: 3 platoon/shifts, Chicago style 24/48 hour shift rotation.
City/rural fire-EMS environment.
2900 calls per year.

We protect most of the 6500 acre Beaver Dam Lake.
