The Colerain Police Department is seeking to establish an eligibility list for the position of Full-time Police Officer with six current openings. The process will be on going until the positions are filled.
Salary Information: $71,884 - $86,257 (2024) to $75,483 - $90,563 (2025) / Annually (Based on Experience)

Department Overview: Colerain Township is the 2nd largest Township in the State of Ohio. We handle approximately 45,000 calls for service each year and offer an opportunity to police in many challenging environments. Hiring Process: Written exam, The Colerain Police Department offers full testing services for the position of police officer through National Testing Network, Inc. To fill out an application and schedule a test, go to www.nationaltestingnetwork.com, select Law Enforcement and sign up for the Colerain Police Department. Waiver of Written Test. The written test portion of the hiring process has been waived for current Ohio police officers having at least one year of continuous employment as a police officer in Ohio with no record of disciplinary action above a written reprimand during the past one year. Candidates must submit a letter requesting this waiver at the time of application.Physical Agility Test. Upon receiving your test results a member of the Colerain Police will contact the candidate to schedule a time to complete the test. Candidates are encouraged to prepare by practicing sit-ups, pushups and run.Oral Interview. This step of the process will be on going as the department receives applicants.Background Investigation. Candidates successfully reaching this stage of the process will be subjected to a thorough background investigation including a Certified Voice Stress Analysis/Polygraph examination.Psychological Test. A licensed psychologist will administer this step of the process to determine the candidate's suitability for the field of law enforcement. This step will only be offered to those candidates who are given a Conditional Offer of Employment.Medical Examination. The medical examination will only be administered to those candidates who are given a conditional offer.
