Salary Information:Firefighter Paramedic $55,542.24 - $75,479.04 per year

Department Information: Hastings Fire and Rescue is an all-hazards department that provides primary Fire/Rescue/EMS services for the city of Hastings, NE, as well as emergency ALS transport services for all of Adams County, NE. We are looking for career-oriented firefighters with a progressive mindset. Hastings Fire and Rescue responds to approximately 3000 emergency calls for service each year. Staffing includes 27 full-time firefighters on 3 shifts, working a 24 on/48 off schedule.
City Information: Hastings is the county seat and population center of Adams County, NE. Hastings is home to a private, liberal arts college, a community college, one of the largest ethanol producers in the state of NE, and has a strong manufacturing base. Additionally, Hastings is served by two major rail lines, sits at the intersection of two major state highway corridors, is just 20 minutes south of I-80, and has a general aviation airport with approximately 20,000 operations annually. The area surrounding Hastings is rural, primarily agricultural production including crops and livestock.
