Position Title: Firefighter EMT or CEP
Verde Valley Fire District (VVFD) and Copper Canyon Fire and Medical District (CCFMD) are accepting applications for the position of Firefighter / EMT or Paramedic. VVFD and CCFMD are looking to establish a Firefighter hiring list of individuals who are interested in joining our growing organizations. The agencies share a Fire Chief who may use the established list to fill current and future vacancies at either District.
Candidates are required to complete the following by 5:00 pm (AZ time) on Sunday, September 21, 2025 to be considered for the role:
Selected candidates will be contacted by Thursday, September 25, 2025 to submit a completed application packet. Candidates with verified credentials will be scheduled for an oral board interview to be held the week of October 6, 2025. Final candidates will be invited for a Chiefs interview.
Hiring Wage Range (DOE): $16.48 - $17.48 base hourly rate, approximately $49,275 - $52,980 annually. Additional $2.25 / hour for Paramedic certification.

Area Information: VVFD covers the unincorporated areas around the City of Cottonwood as well as the communities of Cornville, Page Springs, and the Town of Clarkdale. CCFMD covers the communities of Camp Verde, McGuireville, Rimrock, and Lake Montezuma.
