Position: Full Time Police Officer

Minimum Salary: $54,789.48 start to Pay Grade III $70,153
The City of North College Hill Police Department is hiring for the position of full time police officer. All applications and employment procedures shall be in accordance with the North College Hill Civil Service Commission.

Testing Process: The following process will be used to create an eligibility list for the position of Police Officer. The written exam will be conducted by the National Testing Network. Followed by Panel Interviews, Peer Interviews, Background Investigations, Psychological & CVSA (voice stress test).
Passing Score: Each candidates employment eligibility requires the achievement of a passing score of 70% or greater without any extra credit added, on the written exam. Lateral Entry: Must have two (2) years full- time experience or five (5) years part-time, or equivalent combination as determined by the Police Chief. Must pass a successful background investigation including, but not limited to: a) Physical, b) Psychological evaluation, c) Polygraph/CVSA. If selected, prior full-time service will be taken into consideration when determining starting pay and leave benefits.
Military credit: When proper proof of military service, is presented to the civil service commission and the applicant, being eligible, has received a score of 70% or greater for the written examination then he or she shall be granted additional credit of twenty percent of such grade, thereby receiving a final grade of twenty percent higher in view of the above mentioned service. The applicant must submit proof of honorable discharge or honorable release from active military service prior to participation in the examination.
Promotional Credit: Any current part-time police officer in good standing with the City of North College Hill Police Dept. and has received a passing score of 70% or higher on the written examination, then he or she shall be granted 10 additional points towards their final grade.
