The Maitland Fire Rescue Department is accepting applications for the position of Firefighter/ Paramedic. All candidates must take the FireTEAM exam through National Testing Network by June 16, 2021.
In order to be considered, applicants MUST attend the written and practical assessment held at the Maitland Fire Rescue Department on June 18th.

CPAT is preferred but not required.
STARTING SALARY: FF/PM - $51,485 - $78,028 annually (based on a 56-hour average work week) approx. $17.68/hr
A one-time Certification Compensation for FF/PM totaling $3,500 for those fully certified at time of hiring.
Incentive Pay Program.
HOURS: Varying Shifts (56-hour average work week) 24 on/48 off
DEPARTMENT INFORMATION: We are Internationally Accredited through CPSE and CAAS; we are an ISO Class-1 fire department established in 1926. Located in Central Florida, we have two fire stations, 39 shift personnel and eight administrative personnel.Located in Central Florida, we staff a truck company, an engine company, two ALS transport units and a water rescue boat out of two fire stations.We serve 18,000 residents across 6.2 square miles.Incentive Pay Program and Degree IncentivesCollege Tuition Reimbursement.
High School Grad/GED: High School Diploma or equivalent as recognized by the State of Florida, Department of Education
Valid FLORIDA State Driver's License: Possess & maintain a valid State of Florida Driver's License
Ability to Read/Speak English: Communicate effectively in English
