The Fremont Police Department is currently hiring Patrol Officer’s! Candidates must submit the following through the National Testing Network prior to the application deadline: 12:00pm on June 6, 2022:
In addition to taking the Law Enforcement FrontLine National written exam, applicants must submit the required documents prior to the application deadline.

2022 Salary Information: $23.51-$32.22 per hour depending on qualifications and experience

Department Overview: The City of Fremont is authorized by City Ordinance to have twenty- four (24) Patrol Officers. There are currently nineteen (19). Patrol Officers have specialized assignments that include four (4) Detectives and one (1) School Resource Officer. Fourteen (14) Patrol Officers are assigned to road patrol. Two (2) Road Patrol Officers are K9 units and four (4) Patrol Officers are assigned to bike patrol.
Area Information: Fremont, approximate population of 16,000, is the County Seat of Sandusky County. Located about 35 miles east of Toledo and 25 miles west of Sandusky and sits along the Scenic Sandusky River. The Rutherford B. Hayes Presidential Center, Sandusky County Fairgrounds, and Terra State Community College are all located within the City. Fremont City Schools just completed building a new High School in 2021. Four (4) new Elementary Schools were completed in 2020 and the Middle School was built in 2012. Downtown Fremont has a designated outdoor refreshment area (DORA) and several restaurants and shops that offer a great dining and shopping experience.
