Coshocton County Sheriff's Office is currently building an eligibility list for Communications Officer! All candidates must submit a department application as well as NTN test scores.

Salary Information: $19.76/hourly

Necessary Certifications: Upon hire, you will be required to maintain the following certifications;
Position Responsibilities and Requirements: Under general supervision, answers incoming telephone calls, operates radio console and peripheral electronic equipment to relay information concerning law enforcement and other emergency information, and performs other related duties as required. Work hours vary; must have flexibility to work a variety of shifts in a 24 hour/365-day operation. Top candidates must successfully complete testing through the National Testing Network, oral panel interviews, extensive background investigation, medical examination and drug screening.
Qualifications: Any combination of training and work experience which indicates possession of the skills, knowledge and abilities needed for this position. Demonstrate ability to act under stressful conditions or equivalent combinations of training and/or experience; be able to obtain a valid state of Ohio motor vehicle operator's license. Excellent written and verbal communication, ability to effectively multi-task; advanced critical thinking, computer and technical skills, high school diploma or equivalent and ability to pass a thorough background investigation.
