Job Classification: Full-time Patrol Officer
The Bellevue Police Department is currently hiring for Patrol Officer. Candidates must take the FrontLine National exam through NTN and complete the Candidate PHQ (Personal History Questionnaire). Any candidate with military service should submit a copy of their DD214 Form with their application.

Candidates who have passed a recent agility test preferred. The Bellevue Civil Service Commission reserves the right to administer an agility test to any potential hires.
Salary Information: Starting: $48,256 - $57,678. Depending on prior years of service.
Benefit Information: Health insurance, optical and dental insurance. Paid vacation (prior years of service carry over for time), comp time, sick time (120 hrs. a year), personal days, & holidays. Longevity pay (added hourly),and uniform allowance.

Department Overview: The department is currently staffed by 12 full-time and 2 part-time personnel. The department participates in a county-wide UAV team and is working towards a school Resource Officer and Drug Task Force Agent, as well as, bringing back a K9 Officer in the near future.

Academy Certification: Ohio Peace Officer Training Certificate
Prior Experience: Helpful, but not required
Necessary Certifications: Current, valid, basic Police Officer Certification by OPOTC
Schooling Prior & Post Hiring: Ability to maintain CEU's annually, as required by the State of Ohio and the Police Department.
Hiring Process: Requires an oral interview, psychological exam, physical exam and background check.
