Sunriver Police Department is currently hiring for Entry or Lateral Police Officer. All testing must be completed by 5:00PM on August 30, 2020.
Candidates must also complete a department application, found at www.sunriverpd.org.
All candidates must complete the ORPAT and Frontline National tests for this position. ORPAT is scheduled separately from the NTN home page. You must schedule both a Frontline National and ORPAT test for this position. Testing for both Frontline National and ORPAT is available at the Brooklake campus of Chemeketa Community College.
Salary Information: $4,984.81 - $6,058.67 (Monthly)

Department Overview: The Sunriver Police Department is a full-service police department with twelve sworn officers and one civilian employee. We are a progressive, accredited agency committed to working in partnership with the residents and businesses we serve. Enhanced customer service is a priority. During the summer months, the department employs an eight-person Bike Team to work special events and to patrol 35 miles of paved bike paths.
Area Information: Sunriver is a resort community with a multitude of outdoor recreational activities such as water sports, hiking, skiing and cycling. There are approximately 1700 permanent year-round residents. During the summer months, the population surges to 20,000+ visitors. Sunriver is located in the center of Oregon, approximately 15 miles south of Bend.
Age: Must be at least 21 years of age.
High School Grad/GED: Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
Valid OREGON State Driver's License: Must have a valid Oregon Driver’s License or be able to obtain one upon appointment.
Ability to Read/Speak English: Must be able to read and speak the English Language.
Vision: Must be able to correct to 20/20 Vision.
College: College degree preferred.
Academy Certification: Must meet DPSST minimum standards.
Prior Experience: Prior Law Enforcement experience preferred.
Necessary Certifications: Candidates eligible for Veterans Preference must provide appropriate certification to receive preference points.

Public Employee Retirement System (PERS): Sunriver Police Department is a PERS contributor. However, if you are a PERS retiree, you may work full-time at Sunriver Police Department without PERS penalty.
