Orange County Fire Rescue is currently building an eligibility list for future Firefighter 56 positions. The department requires passing FireTEAM scores and a valid Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT).

IMPORTANT NOTE:
Effective March 29, 2015, individuals hired must successfully complete all State of Florida and local requirements to become a Certified Paramedic within three years from the date of hire and serve as a paramedic for Orange County Fire Rescue. Possession and maintenance of Paramedic Certification is a condition of continued employment with Orange County Fire Rescue.
Salary: $42,340.00 Annually
Paramedic Certification - After meeting all requirement for an Orange County Fire Rescue Firefighter, employee must complete all requirements to become a Paramedic (within 3 years of becoming a firefighter) which has an additional $8,008.80 per year added to the salary for a Certified Firefighter.

FIREFIGHTER ENTRY LEVEL TESTING (Fire Team Video Test and CPAT): All candidates must pass the Ergometrics Fire Team Video Test and Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT) to participate in the hiring process. Applicants with a passing test score on file do not need to re-take these tests. The Fire Team test scores are valid for 2 years* and the CPAT test scores are valid for 1 year. OCFRD also accepts passing scores of the Ergometrics Fire Team Video Test and Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT) completed though the National Testing Network (NTN). For more information about NTN's testing process, you can visit their website at www.nationaltestingnetwork.com. *Please note, FireTEAM test scores taken through National Testing Network are valid for one year. If you took the FireTEAM test with NTN over a year ago, you will need to retest. If you have taken the FireTEAM test for Orange County Fire Rescue historically, please reach out to the department for the next steps in the process. Candidates who do not have a valid test score can obtain information on taking the entry-level testing by emailing Orange County Fire Rescue Department at OCFRDCareers@ocfl.net.
