The Fayetteville Fire Department is building an ongoing list for Entry-Level Firefighter. Candidates must complete the FireTEAM test through National Testing Network by February 8, 2021 at 5:00 pm.

The Fayetteville Fire Department is a progressive, all hazards emergency services response agency that includes fire suppression, emergency medical services, every kind of rescue, code enforcement, arson investigation, and public education. These services are provided by 119 members from 7 fire stations with state-of-the-art fire trucks, rescue, and medical equipment. The Fire Department responded to 12,734 calls for service during 2019. The department responds to medical calls inside the city with basic life support, non-transport fire companies. Our Firefighters are committed to delivering the finest customer service possible.

Additional Requirements: One of the Following Below: Applicants for the Fire Department must have attained certification as an Emergency Medical Technician either through the State of Arkansas Department of Health or through the National Emergency Medical Technician Registry Program or possess one of the following prior to application:
Post Hiring Certifications: Must certify as Firefighter I&II (IFSAC) and EMT within 12 months of being hired (training provided).
Schooling Prior and Post Hiring Training: Training will be provided for Firefighter and EMT certifications. However, you need one of the above five requirements to apply.
Specific Disqualifiers/Behaviors: Felony, Criminal Activity Disqualifiers: Felony Conviction. Driving Disqualifiers: Lack of a valid Driver’s License. Employment Disqualifiers: After receiving a conditional offer of employment, Candidates are required to complete post-offer medical screenings, a background investigation and climb a 75’ ft aerial ladder.
