Job Classification: Reserve Firefighter EMT/CEP
The Mayer Fire District is continuously hiring for Reserve Firefighter EMT/CEP with 5 immediate openings. This position will remain open until filled.
This position requires FireTEAM and a valid CPAT.
Candidates must also submit a department application, available at www.mayerfire.com.
Salary Information: $12.00 for EMT and $13.26 for CEP

Department Overview: Mayer Fire is a combination fire/medical district providing fire suppression, fire prevention, wildland protection, advanced life support, rescue, extraction, and emergency medical transportation services out of three in a 52 square mile district. Additional coverage of 250 square miles outside of the district, which can include being first due to areas of the Prescott National Forest, BLM Lands, State Lands, and the Aqua Fria National Monument.
Area Information: Mayer is in Yavapai County (the heart of AZ). Rural high desert mountain location one hour north of Phoenix metro and 30 minutes east of Prescott.

High School Grad/GED: Yes, provide a copy.
Valid ARIZONA State Driver's License: Required.
Ability to Read/Speak English: Required.
Vision: Must meet NFPA 1582 physical requirements.
Academy Certification: Yes.
Prior Experience: Not required.
Necessary Certifications:
Additional Requirements: Proof of CPAT within last year or current employment at a fire department, wildland certification (S130/190, L180, I100, I700) or obtain within one year of hire.
Hiring Process: Step 1 – Initial Testing To be considered for employment, candidates must first complete a standard test at National Testing Network (NTN) and have a combined score of 75% or better. The National Testing Network (NTN) Arizona Testing Center is located at 4840 South 33rd Street, Phoenix, AZ 85040, (602) 268-9331. To complete a profile/work history and to schedule testing go to www.nationaltestingnetwork.com, select “Fire” and select Mayer Fire District as the agency for which to apply (additional agencies may also be selected). Practice tests are available for purchase on-line. Test results will automatically be sent to Mayer Fire District. Candidates should schedule their test far enough in advance to ensure test results are received by Mayer Fire as soon as possible. Test results typically take up to 72 hours to reach the District. Reserve Firefighter EMT-B or EMT-P:
Felony / Criminal Activity: No felonies on record and no DUI's within five years.
