The Delaware County Sheriff's Office is currently accepting results for Deputy Sheriff. The department is currently seeking to fill several full-time positions. All testing must be completed by April 30, 2020. Selected candidates will be required to participate in physical fitness testing prior to interview.
Candidates must also fill out the County application at http://www.co.delaware.oh.us/
The application process requires 3 steps. Please note that both of the following steps must be completed for an applicant to be considered for interview:
Step 1: go to http://www.applitrack.com/delawarecounty/onlineapp and complete an online application.
Step 2: after your application is completed above, please see the link below, which will take you to the National Testing Network site. All applicants applying for this position must complete NTN testing. If you have questions regarding the NTN process please contact NTN directly. www.nationaltestingnetwork.com
Step 3: Attend physical fitness testing.

The physical fitness assessment for Deputy Sheriff candidates will be held at the Delaware Area Career Center South Campus, 4565 Columbus Pike, Delaware, OH 43015.A required part of the interview process for the position of Deputy Sheriff is a physical abilities test. The physical fitness assessment will consist of push-ups and sit-ups timed for 1 minute and a 1.5 mile run. To be eligible for selection to interview, a candidate must be able to successfully complete physical abilities testing based on OPOTC age and gender standards. There is no need to register for a test date, simply show up at one of the above times. All candidates are required to have a valid photo ID to be able to participate in the physical abilities testing. Those without a valid photo ID will not be allowed to participate. Please keep in mind that successful completion of the physical abilities testing is required to be eligible for interview. However, passing the physical testing does not guarantee that one will receive an invitation to interview.
PLEASE NOTE: Candidates who have previously applied must wait at least one year from their most recent interview to be eligible for re-interview.
