GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF CLASS: Position will be responsible for working as a member of a combat team in the prevention of fire damage and protection of life and property by combating, extinguishing, and preventing fires. Works as a member of a team in search and rescue operations at the scene of a fire. Performs basic life support initially on his/her own at the scene of an emergency under the direction of a licensed physician.
