Villages Fire Rescue is now interviewing for the position of Firefighter/EMT
National Testing Network (NTN) FireTEAM and Valid CPAT are required for this position.

Department Information: The Villages Fire Rescue was established in 1999 to protect the residents of The Villages which was a small retirement community in Northern Sumter County and Northeast Lake County. The department consisted of one fire station, nine firefighters, and one fire chief.
Today, the Villages Fire Rescue has nine fire stations and 140 personnel. The department has the honor of serving the world’s largest retirement community, and the fastest growing community in the United States. The department’s coverage area exceeds 70 square miles with over 140,000 residents in three counties (Lake, Sumter, Marion) and five cities (Lady Lake, Wildwood, Coleman, Oxford, Fruitland Park). Although predominately a retirement community the Villages has three family communities, an A+ charter school system (pre-K- 12th grade) and protects a population demographic that spans all ages.

Prior Experience: Qualifying on pre-employment requirements will include clinical knowledge and skills evaluation; oral review panel; acceptable driving record; drug screening and medical examination; tobacco certification; and background reference checks. Candidates must not have any disqualifiers (see below) in background.
