Job Classification: Firefighter/Paramedic
The Keizer Fire District is establishing a Civil Service entrance register for the position of Firefighter/Paramedic with plans to fill one vacant position by March 14th, 2022 and potentially others during the life of the list. Individuals filling this position are responsible for providing advanced life support care and transport of sick and injured persons, fire suppression, rescue, public service requests, public education, station/equipment maintenance and other related tasks.

All applications and supplemental questionaires must be signed and returned or postmarked by 5:00pm on Friday, January 14th, 2022. Applications will NOT be accepted or considered if received or postmarked after this date.
Applicants must complete a National Testing Network FireTEAM examination and have those results submitted to the District by 5:00pm on January 14th, 2022. After screening of the submitted applications and FireTEAM results, up to the top 30 candidates will invited to a three-person interview panel, tentatively scheduled for January 27th and 28th, 2022.
Salary Information: $68,484.00 - $85,264.00 Annually.
Benefits Information: The above salary range includes a 10% paramedic pay incentive. Keizer Fire District is a full-service fire and rescue agency with a force of 35.5 career employees, 20 volunteer firefighters, and 12 explorer scouts who serve the District’s 39,315 citizens from one centrally located fire station. Keizer Fire District ran 5,506 calls for assistance in 2018.
