Salary Information: Entry Level - $50,300 per year

Job Requirements

Eligibility Requirements:

Ability to lawfully work in the US
Must be at least 18 years of age at time of application
Minimum of High School Diploma or GED required
Possess a valid driver’s license at the time of application
Law enforcement experience preferred
Must meet physical ability test standards set forth in Loveland Police Department Directives
Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language

The Community Service Officer is a uniformed civilian position within the Loveland Police Department responsible for assisting Police Department personnel with law enforcement related tasks that does not require the authority of a commissioned officer. Community Service Officers assist with prisoner booking and processing, transport non-violent prisoners and enforce selected Municipal Codes with respect to police-related issues. Community Services Officers enforce municipal parking laws, take complaints of minor crimes, conduct minor accident investigations, direct traffic, and complete required reports.

To be eligible for hire candidates must achieve a passing score in all components of the NTN FrontLine exam, pass initial and executive oral board interviews, and successfully complete a comprehensive background investigation, drug screen, psychological evaluation, physical assessment and polygraph examination.
