The Santa Clara Police Department is currently establishing a hiring list for the position of entry level and lateral police officers! The Santa Clara Police Department is now accepting the Frontline National exam which entry level police officer candidates must take through National Testing Network. (Lateral police officer applicants do not have to take the Frontline National exam).

Salary Information:
$105,048 - $134,157 (Entry Level)$142,699 – $173,412 (Lateral)

High School Grad/GED: Highschool Grad/GED
Valid CALIFORNIA Driver's License: Valid CALIFORNIA State Driver's License
Ability to Read/Speak English: Ability to Read/Speak English
Vision: Vision including color, night, depth, and peripheral vision sufficient to perform all of the essential functions of the position of Police Officer; Visual acuity of not less than 20/80 vision in each eye uncorrected, and corrected to 20/30 in each eye. EXCEPTION: Applicants with correction afforded by soft contact lenses are exempt from the minimum uncorrected vision standard of 20/80, provided their corrected vision is 20/30 in each eye.
College: Entry Level - 60 semester units or 90 quarter units Lateral - Thirty (30) semester units or forty-five (45) quarter units of academic level courses at an accredited college or university and two (2) years full-time, paid, recent police experience with a sheriff's department, state police, highway patrol, or municipal police department.
