Salary Information: $37,114.00

Department Overview: We are a county fire department that responds to: Fire, EMS, Haz-mat and Technical Rescue emergency events. We are currently an ISO Class 2 with an initiative to become an ISO Class 1. We are involved in community risk reduction and public education events. We operate on a 24/48 hour shift out of 3 fire stations with a 4th new station being built in 2021/2022. We have 43 sworn personnel with 1 civilian employee.

Valid ARKANSAS State Driver's License: Yes/or able to obtain upon hire
Ability to Read/Speak English: Yes
Vision: Correctable to 20/20 per NFPA 1582
College: Not required
Academy Certification: IFSAC Firefighter I & II or the ability to obtain within the first year
Prior Experience: Not required
Necessary Certifications: Nothing required, but EMT certification preferred
Felony, Criminal Activity Disqualifiers: Any felony conviction related to drugs or crimes against a person.
Driving Disqualifiers: One DWI conviction within past 12 months or more than one DWI.
Drug Use Disqualifiers: Any felony conviction or failing a pre-employment drug screen.
Additional Disqualifiers: If you are found to be falsifying any information on your application, you will be disqualified from employment.
