Parma Police Department is currently establishing a Patrol Officer hiring list! All candidates must take the FrontLine exam through National Testing Network (NTN) by June 15, 2021.
Candidates must complete the department application, found here, by June 15, 2021. You will need to use a desktop or laptop computer to apply. Do not use a cell phone or tablet.
The department also requires the candidate complete the Personal History Questionnaire (PHQ) and Public Safety Self Assessment (PSSA). You can access both questionnaires through your candidate account. NTN suggests completing the PHQ and PSSA as soon as possible so there is not a delay in your process.

Additional Requirements: OPOTA certification is preferred, but not required. The City of Parma will send non-certified candidates to a police academy.
Hiring Process: Take and pass the NTN written exam with a 70% passing score, background check, interview panel. Post offer testing which consists of a polygraph, physical examination, and a psychological examination.

Working Conditions: The Parma Police Department works permanent 8-hour shifts, with rotating days off every month. Officers are required to complete a field training program after hire. Once field training is completed, all officers train a minimum of 40-hours per year for in-service training. Further officer developmental training is offered as needed. Collective Bargaining Agreements provide numerous certification and special unit pay supplements and leave time.
