Job Classification: Police Officer
The Perry Township Police Department is currently accepting testing scores for one (1) full-time Police Officer position. Additionally, the department anticipates the possibility of hiring two (2) more full-time officers in 2026.

Salary Information:
In accordance with the Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) collective bargaining agreement, the salary range for sworn officers is as follows:
Effective 2025: $66,185.60 (Step A) to $91,873.60 (Step E)
Effective 2027: $70,886.40 (Step A) to $98,425.60 (Step E)
These figures reflect the structured step progression outlined in the FOP contract, ensuring competitive and equitable compensation for all officers.

The Perry Township Police Department is a highly respected law enforcement agency committed to delivering exceptional public safety services. The department is staffed by 17 full-time sworn officers, including a Police Chief, an Operations Lieutenant, a Patrol Lieutenant, and a Detective/K9 Handler. Additionally, the department includes nine part-time and reserve officers, supported by a full-time Administrative Assistant. Work is performed within the guidelines of department's general orders with some discretion in enforcement of local, state, and federal laws.
