Department Overview

The City of Kissimmee Fire Department provides fire suppression, EMS, tech rescue, and other response services. KFD the first FD in Central Florida with a 4-shft, 24 hours on, 72 hours off schedule. Both CFAI Accredited and ISO Class 1.

Valid State Driver’s License: Yes
Ability to Read/Speak English: Yes
Vision: 20/20 with or without corrective lenses.
Necessary Certifications: Florida Certified Firefighter & Paramedic

Additional Requirements:

Have not used nicotine products within the past year.
Have not used or possessed any controlled substance within the last three years.
Have no DUI/DWI convictions within the past four years.
Have not been convicted of, pleaded "no contest" to, or had adjudication withheld for any felony crime.
