Position Title: Police Dispatcher III (Entry Level)

Duties: Dispatching for Aurora Ohio Police, Fire, EMS, computer aided dispatch (Sundance), answering 911 and other calls for service. Deputy Clerk for Portage County Municipal Court, Emergency Medical Dispatching.

Salary Information: Starting pay for 2025 $66,892.80 ($32.16 per hour). The city is currently in negotiations for a new contract. The current contract expires December 31, 2025.

5% extra credit for a minimum of twelve (12) consecutive months service as a part-time Police Dispatcher with the City of Aurora, Ohio
5% extra credit for Honorable Discharge from the U.S. Military (minimum 6 months)
3% extra credit for Bachelor's degree in related field
2% extra credit for Associate’s degree in related field
