Firefighter / EMT or Advanced (AEMT) or Paramedic
The Monclova Township Fire / Rescue Department is currently accepting applications, resumes, and cover letters for open Part-Time Firefighter / EMT or AEMT or Paramedic positions. This position is open to both internal and external applicants. This position reports to the Fire Chief or his designee. The Firefighter / EMT or AEMT or Paramedic will be tasked with performing firefighting, basic / advanced life support (AEMT and Paramedic), hazardous material, and fire prevention duties. Firefighter / EMT or AEMT or Paramedic will also maintain fire equipment, apparatus, and facilities.
Work Schedule: 12-hour shifts either on a regularly scheduled position or sign-up.
Position Type: Part-Time; hourly wage; non-exempt FLSA position.
Pay Rate: Starting Part Time Wages based on certification level
· EMT Basic / Firefighter I: $19.74 with increase to $20.33 after probation.
· EMT Basic / Firefighter II: $21.32 with increase to $21.96 after probation.
· AEMT / Firefighter I: $20.49 with increase to $21.10 after probation.
· AEMT / Firefighter II: $22.13 with increase to $22.79 after probation.
· Paramedic / Firefighter I: $22.76 with increase to $23.45 after probation.
· Paramedic / Firefighter II: $24.59 with increase to $25.32 after probation.
Benefits: Uniform Allowance, Paid Sick Leave, Paid Vacation (for regularly scheduled position). Ohio Deferred Compensation is available.
Requirements:
(1) Valid Ohio Driver’s License (5) Hazardous Materials Operations Level
(2) High School Diploma or GED (6) AHA BLS CPR
(3) State of Ohio EMT or AEMT or Paramedic (7) AHA ACLS (Paramedic)
(4) State of Ohio Level I or II Firefighter (8) NTN FireTeam Test & Firefighter Mile
