Position Title: Firefighter / Paramedic
Salary Information: Starting salary can be based on FULL TIME fire department experience:
Entry level - $66,514.53
11 Paid Holidays paid every November ($2300-$4,800)
FF/PM Lateral experience -
1-2 years of experience - $78,880.98
2+ years of FULL TIME FF/PM experience - $85,901.38

Department Overview
The department is comprised of (25) career fire personnel. Fire Chief, Deputy Fire Chief, (3) Captains, (3) Lieutenants and FF/PM’s. Some are assigned to the Haz Mat team, Technical Rescue and Arson team. The department averages 3500 emergency runs per year. (6) minimum is the daily shift staffing. The engine responds auto-aid to neighboring departments like Maywood, Hillside, North Riverside and Bellwood.
Additional Preference Points given for Proviso Township residency (proof of the last 12 months), BOF, Paramedic
2024 Pierce Rescue Pumper in service 12/24 - Osage Ambulance to be delivered 2025
