Conifer Fire Protection District has 3 openings for the position of Paramedic. Conifer Fire Department is an all-hazard incident agency and combination fire district serving the communities of Buffalo Creek, Morrison and parts of Littleton in Colorado. Conifer Fire Department covers approximately 300 square miles along Highways 285 and 126 ranging from 6,000 to 10,000 feet in elevation. Conifer Fire Protection District serves residents and those recreating in some of the most scenic areas in the foothills southwest of Denver, Buffalo Creek Recreation Area and Deer Creek Park. Annual call volume is approximately 650 calls and roughly 65 percent of calls are medical. The immediate need is for Paramedics that are willing to become certified structural and wildland firefighters. Conifer Fire Protection District is within the Red Zone and there is a high potential for Wildland incidents. Conifer Fire Protection District applicants will initially work a 12-hour shift schedule, eventually progressing to a 48/96 schedule. Applicants are expected to maintain all certifications.
