Job Classification: Reserve Firefighter EMT/CEP
The Mayer Fire/Williamson Valley/Bagdad Fire Districts are currently hiring for Reserve Firefighter EMT/CEP with immediate openings.
This position requires FireTEAM, a valid CPAT, and a PHQ.
NOTE: This is a combined hiring process for both fire districts. Passing candidates will have the ability to work at any of the five fire stations. All interested applicants need to apply by following the instructions though the Mayer Fire District link on the NTN website. Salary Information: Starting salary range $13.65 for EMT and $15.40 for CEP

Department Overview: The Mayer and Williamson Valley/Bagdad Fire Districts are located in the heart of Yavapai County. Both districts are combination fire and medical departments that provide fire suppression, fire prevention, wildland protection, advanced life support, rescue, extrication, and medical transportation services.
The Mayer Fire District operates out of three stations located in the heart of Mayer Arizona. Mayer Fire District provides emergency response for approximately 25 miles of the I-17, as well as approximately 15 miles of State Route 69. The Williamson Valley/Bagdad Fire District currently operates out of two stations and is located about an hour southwest of Prescott Arizona and provides emergency response for the towns of Williamson Valley and Bagdad. Williamson Valley/Bagdad Fire District also provides emergency response for numerous miles of highways 96 and 97 as well as fire, medical, technical rescue, and hazardous materials response for the Freeport MacMoRan Mine located in Bagdad Arizona.

Additional Requirements:Wildland certification (S130/190, L180, I100, I700) or obtain within one year of hire.Hiring Process:Step 1 – Initial Testing To be considered for employment, candidates must first complete a standard test at National Testing Network (NTN) and have a combined score of 75% or better. The National Testing Network (NTN) Arizona Testing Center is located at 4840 South 33rd Street, Phoenix, AZ 85040, (855) 821-3761. To complete a profile/work history and to schedule testing go to www.nationaltestingnetwork.com, select “Fire” and select Mayer Fire/Williamson Valley/Bagdad Fire Districts as the agency for which to apply (additional agencies may also be selected). Practice tests are available for purchase on-line. Test results will automatically be sent to Mayer Fire District. Candidates should schedule their test far enough in advance to ensure test results are received by Mayer Fire as soon as possible. Test results typically take up to 72 hours to reach the District. Applications will not be considered if any of the required items above are omitted or if items are not received. Step 3 – Screening Process Applications will be reviewed for completeness, and to determine if the candidates meet the minimum qualifications. The top qualified candidates, based on overall entry level test scores, will be invited to participate in the next step of the process. Persons with a combined test score of less than 75% and/or a test date older than one year will not be considered. Step 4 – Oral Board The oral Board panel may include Fire Captains, Engineers, Firefighters, and/or District Board Members. The candidates will be asked judgment-based questions, as well as questions about themselves. Step 5 – Selection Process / Hire List Top successful candidates must be able to attend a mandatory on site orientation.
