The Logan County Sheriff Department is currently accepting applications for Deputy Sheriff-Patrol position. All candidates must complete NTN FrontLine National exam and PHQ to be eligible for this list.Salary Information: $56,046 annually. After one year $69,759 annually, After five (5) years $73,945.
Lateral Hiring: At the discretion of the Sheriff, a new employee who is a certified Police Officer in the State of Illinois may start at a salary up to “After five (5)” years of service in the wage scale. A new employee shall only start at a step which is commensurate with the years of service the new employee has completed with another police department.Additional Benefits Information:

Department Information: The Logan County Sheriff's Office is an agency with a strength of 21 sworn deputies and 3 divisions; Administration, Investigations, and Patrol. The Logan County Sheriff's Office is responsible for the safety of 29,000 plus residents, several incorporated and unincorporated towns, several industries and closely related business; all comprising the 600 square miles of Logan County.
