Job Classification: Deputy Sheriff-Patrol

The Logan County Sheriff Department is currently accepting applications for Deputy Sheriff-Patrol position. All candidates must complete NTN FrontLine National exam and PHQ to be eligible for this list.

Salary Information: $56,046 annually. After one year $69,759 annually, After five (5) years $73,945.

Lateral Hiring: At the discretion of the Sheriff, a new employee who is a certified Police Officer in the State of Illinois may start at a salary up to “After five (5)” years of service in the wage scale. A new employee shall only start at a step which is commensurate with the years of service the new employee has completed with another police department.

The Logan County Sheriff's Office is responsible for the safety of 29,000 plus residents, several incorporated and unincorporated towns, several industries and closely related business; all comprising the 600 square miles of Logan County.
