The City of Casa Grande Fire Department is seeking to establish an eligibility list for the position of Firefighter Recruit! All candidates must take the Fireteam exam through National Testing Network to be considered further in the hiring process.
The department requires the candidate PHQ and PSSA. You can access the questionnaires through your candidate account. NTN suggests completing the PSSA as soon as possible so there is not a delay in your process.

You must complete a City of Casa Grande employment application through NeoGov (available on the City of Casa Grande website) AND complete all testing through National Testing Network by 5:00 pm June 18th, 2021 (www.nationaltestingnetwork.com). Individuals who do not complete both portions of the process will be disqualified.

Department Overview: The City of Casa Grande Fire Department operates out of four fire stations with 76 employees. The department is a public department whose members are on a paid status. The Casa Grande Fire Department is one of the oldest in Pinal County, Arizona, dating back to the City’s incorporation in 1915. Services provided:
Area Information: 112 Square miles in Pinal County
Under close supervision, performs firefighting, rescue, and emergency medical duties as required to control emergency incidents, and protect the lives and property of the City residents.***All successful candidates are required to attend a City of Casa Grande designated Fire Academy***While in the Fire Academy, Firefighter Recruits' hourly rate of pay is $22.5664 based on a 40-hour workweek. Upon successful completion of the designated Fire Academy, Recruits will be classified as a Firefighter at an hourly rate of $17.6486 based on a 56-hour workweek.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Age: Must be at least 18 years of age at the time of hire
High School Grad/GED: High School diploma or GED equivalent.
Valid ARIZONA State Driver's License: Valid Arizona Class D Drivers' License at the time of hire.
Academy Certification: Must have Arizona EMT or Paramedic certification or be a Nationally Registered EMT (NREMT) or Paramedic (NREMTP), with the ability to obtain Arizona certification within six-months of date of hire.

Must upload to application your current CPAT (Candidate Physical Ability Test) - must have passed CPAT within last 12 months.
Must maintain a level of physical fitness to meet Fire Department standards
Upon successful completion from a City designated Fire Academy, must be certified as a State of Arizona Firefighter 1 & 2. Must successfully complete a 12-month probationary period following the Fire Academy.
