The Treasure Valley Fire Cooperative is currently working on building an eligibility list for Lateral Firefighter EMT and Firefighter Paramedics for the 2020 year. Candidates must complete the written exam no later than December 31, 2019, to be considered for a lateral position.
The Treasure Valley Fire Cooperative requires the candidate PHQ. You can access the questionnaire through your NTN candidate account. The PHQ must be completed or you may not be considered further in the process.

Department Overview: Candidates will be testing for a lateral Firefighter/ EMT or a lateral Firefighter/ Paramedic position at one of the Treasure Valley Fire Cooperative Departments. The Treasure Valley Fire Cooperative is comprised of Caldwell, Eagle, Kuna, Meridian, Nampa, and Star Fire Departments and Districts. Age: 18 years of age or older at time of application
US Citizen: Candidate must be able to lawfully work in the U.S.
High School Grad/GED: Yes
Valid IDAHO State Driver's License: Any valid US Driver's License with the ability to obtain an Idaho license
within 30 days of employment.
Ability to Read/Speak English: Yes
Vision: Must pass NFPA 1582/ DOT pre-employment physical and medical exam.
Minimum Certifications: Candidates must possess and maintain a valid state or National Registry EMT,

Candidates must be a minimum of FF1- IFSAC, ProBoard, or AHJ (curriculum required)
Minimum Required Experience: Candidates must have a minimum of one (1) year career full time paid Firefighter/ EMT or Firefighter/ Paramedic experience with a Municipal Fire Department or District. Individual departments may require additional experience.
Department Specific Minimum Experience: Eagle: Eagle Fire Department requires that applicants have two (2) years as a career full time paid Firefighter EMT with a Municipal Fire Department or full time paid Firefighter EMT with a Fire District.
Meridian: Meridian Fire applicants must have two (2) years of experience as a career full time paid Firefighter EMT or Firefighter Paramedic with a Municipal Fire Department or District.
Nampa: Applicant must have three (3) years as a career full time paid Firefighter EMT-B with a Municipal Fire Department. (1 year of full-time military firefighter experience within the last five (5) years can be counted toward this minimum requirement.)
The applicant has successfully completed and graduated from the Treasure Valley Fire Academy in the last four (4) years.
Specific Disqualifiers/Behaviors: Felony, Criminal Activity Disqualifiers
Candidates with any felony criminal convictions will be disqualified.
Any other disqualifying offence as determined by the Idaho History Criminal Unit which would prevent the applicant from obtaining an EMS provider license in the State of Idaho.
Candidates with any felony driving convictions will be disqualified.
Drug Use Disqualifiers
Candidates with any felony drug convictions will be disqualified.
Candidates must successfully complete both a pre-employment criminal and comprehensive background check prior to the start of employment.
Tobacco Use Disqualifiers
Caldwell Fire and Rescue hires only non-smokers; smoking after hire is grounds for termination.
