The City of Palm Beach Gardens is accepting test results for Fire Medic to establish an eligibility list. In this first step of the process, applicants must achieve a passing score on the FireTeam test, which must be scheduled through the National Testing Network website. To apply: go to www.nationaltestingnetwork.com. Walk-ins will not be accepted. In addition, you must have valid CPAT results, through National Testing Network, within 6 months of the closing date. All testing results must be submitted by the closing date of October 13, 2019.**If the candidate meets all the requirements, submits all the documentation, and passes the NTN Fire Team test, they will be notified of the date and time for the swim test. The swim test is certified by the American Red Cross and consists of a 300 yard swim, underwater swim for distance, 2 minute tread with brick; and the final obstacle, which is the removal of personal floatation device, retrieval of a 10 pound brick from deep water (12 foot drop), and putting back on the personal floatation device. DO NOT call the City of Palm Beach Gardens for selection status.
Must provide copy of Florida Firefighter Standards, State of Florida Paramedic certification, completion of 16-hour Emergency Vehicle Operator Course (EVOC), CPAT results (must be legible), when applying on our website, or through www.governmentjobs.com.
Salary Information: $52,276.95 - $81,016.00 Annually
FIRE MEDICS WOULD BE ELIGIBLE FOR UP TO $10,000 PARAMEDIC INCENTIVE PAY, ANNUALLY, UPON THE COMPLETION OF CITY PARAMEDIC PROTOCOL PROGRAM.
