Pasco County Fire Rescue is currently seeking to establish an eligibility list for the position of Firefighter/EMT and Firefighter/Paramedics! All candidates must complete FireTEAM and CPAT Testing through National Testing Network to be considered further in the hiring process.

*Qualified Firefighter/Paramedics may be eligible for a one-time $3000.00 bonus following a six month evaluation.
Salary Information: $41,000/year Firefighter/EMT $48,000/year Firefighter/ParamedicPlus, a contractual holiday bonus of $2000 to $2300 annually (depending upon EMS Certification) in addition to time-and-a-half pay for actual holidays worked.

Area Information: The department provides fire protection covering all unincorporated Pasco County, including the cities of Dade City, San Antonio, Saint Leo, and Zephyrhills.
Population: Our fire stations and facilities cover approximately 764 square miles serving a population of close to 500,000 people.
Age: 18 years of age or older
US Citizen: Required
High School Grad/GED: Graduation from High School or GED
Valid FLORIDA State Driver's License: Required
Ability to Read/Speak English: Required
Vision: Vision Requirements are mandated per NFPA 1582 Section 6.4
Necessary Certifications:
Additional Requirements: Employees shall obtain certification as a Florida State Certified Paramedic and function as a Pasco County Fire Rescue Firefighter/Paramedic if not already certified within forty-eight (48) months from date of hire. It is the employee's responsibility to locate, attend, and complete the required coursework.
