Edgewater Fire Rescue is seeking to establish an eligibility list for the position of Firefighter/EMT, Firefighter/Paramedic (preferred). All candidates must take the FireTEAM exam through National Testing Network to be considered further in the hiring process.

The department requires the candidate Public Safety Self-Assessment (PSSA) Part 1. You can access this through your candidate account. NTN suggests completing the PSSA as soon as possible so there is not a delay in your process.
Salary Information: $41,350- $64,048
Paramedics receive an additional $2/hour incentive
Department Overview: Edgewater Fire Rescue provides Fire and EMS services (including transport) out of two fire stations along the east coast of Central Florida. Responding to approximately 4000 Edgewater is an ISO 2 Fire Department. The department is comprised of 34 administrative and operational personnel. Shift work consists of 24-on 48-off. In addition to a $2/hour Paramedic incentive there are also incentives for transport, education and special training and classes.
Area Information: Edgewater Fire Rescue provides primary response to 22.59 square miles along the east coast of central Florida. EFR provides mutual aid to all of the departments within Volusia County and automatic aid to all of the departments in south east Volusia.

Valid FLORIDA Driver's License: Yes
Ability to Read/Speak English: Yes
Vision: As required in NFPA 1582
Academy Certification: Possess a current State of Florida Firefighter I/II Certification
Prior Experience: Not Necessary
Additional Requirements: Must be tobacco free for one-year preceding appointment and throughout employment (affidavit required).
Must be able to swim 300 yards within 10 minutes and tread water for 15 minutes.
