The Verde Valley Fire District is currently hiring for Firefighter/CEP. This position requires FireTEAM and a valid CPAT. To be considered for this round of hiring, all testing must be completed by February 24, 2020.
Candidates must also complete a department application, found at http://www.verdevalleyfire.org/. Applications are due by 4:00p.m. AZ Time on February 24, 2020.
Salary Information: $14.28/hr. + $2.19/hr. medic stipend – Approx. $51,400 annually

Department Overview: Verde Valley Fire District (VVFD) is a combination agency that provides fire suppression, EMS, technical rescue, wildland, fire prevention and many other services.
Area Information: VVFD’s service area is 104 square miles and includes the unincorporated areas around the City of Cottonwood, the communities of Cornville, Page Springs and the Town of Clarkdale. VVFD serves an estimated population of 21,300 residents and responds to approximately 3,400 calls per year.
US Citizen: Legally eligible to work in the United States.
High School Grad/GED: Yes
Valid ARIZONA State Driver's License: Valid unrestricted Arizona Driver’s License.
Ability to Read/Speak English: Must be able to read, write and speak the English language.
Vision: Must be able to pass a physical examination and other pre-employment screening.
Academy Certification: Arizona Firefighter I and II Certification
Prior Experience: Currently employed with a fire/EMS agency DESIRED.
Additional Requirements: Individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential duty as listed in the job description. This includes having a satisfactory driving record.
